Hazardous Waste Incineration
Introduction
The disposal of hazardous solid, semi solid, liquid and
gaseous wastes from industries are a severe problem. The quantity and characteristics
of solid wastes generated by the industries are highly variable in regard
to their effects on the human beings, animals, soil and surrounding environment.
Each waste requires a thorough investigation with regard to the chemical
composition, toxicity, calorific values etc. before the selection of a proper
method of disposal. Paramount is proud to associate with some complex problems
related to this field for which studies were sponsored by the agencies like
World Bank.
Paramount has speciality of hazardous/chemical waste incinerators for
solid, semi solid, liquid and gaseous wastes.
Paramount offer various types of incinerators such as fume incinerators
for highly toxic gaseous pollutants, static horizontal/vertical liquid
waste incinerators, rotary kiln incinerators for handling practically any
type of waste in any form, pyrolitic two chamber incinerators for solid
waste, fluidised bed incinerators etc.
The incinerators are provided with Waste Heat recovery system wherever
viable & complex down stream flue gas cleaning system to take care
of the various pollutants like SO2, HCl, HF, P2O5, fine aerosols, particulate
matter etc. generated due to incineration of wastes. These systems are
normally provided with high degree of automation due to toxic nature
of waste to take care of all eventualities for safety of operating personnel's
and plant equipment. The type of instrumentation and controls can vary
from conventional relay based system to PLC based controls to totally
automatic
DCS based system.
